Holiday Update and A Chance to Help Animal Victims of California’s Fires

New book and a contest too!

First, I want to wish all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving in the United States, Happy Thanksgiving. I also want to say THANK YOU to every one of my incredible readers. You have made my dreams of being a full-time writer come true, and I appreciate each of you so much. This Thanksgiving will be a sad one for me. At this time last year, my mother was dying, and we lost her on December 4th. I remember going to the care facility the day after Thanksgiving and trying to coax her to eat. At 8:30 in the morning, she said she wanted mashed potatoes and gravy, so my husband went to the cafeteria asked if they could possibly prepare some for her. They did, and I fed her the entire bowl. This year, we are having a quiet celebration with immediate family, but for Christmas, both of my sons are coming home with their girlfriends. We’ll have a full house, and it will be wonderful. I’m already plotting activities, including an ugly sock contest. The day after Thanksgiving, I am headed to the Southern Oregon Coast to celebrate my dad and step-mother’s 50th wedding anniversary. I pray that wherever you are and no matter how you are celebrating, you have a wonderful day. I also have a new book announcement!
