Wow!
I was doing the happy dance in January when Blue Rose Romance made 50,000 hits before it’s first anniversary. If I could manage them without breaking something, I’d be doing cartwheels and back-flips today.
At it’s current pace, the old page ticker will cross the 100,000 mark sometime this weekend. Who’d have thought? Not me, that’s for sure. People ask me what my secret is, and the truth is, I don’t have one.
Yes, I have guests regularly, mostly other historical authors either because I’ve personally invited them, or through blog tours for which I am a participating host. I do announce contest wins, blog tours and hops I participate in, and I regularly try to contribute something with a bit more meat.
The weekly features, Tuesday’s Tidbits and Trivia, Thursday Threads, Five-Line Friday are popular too.
All the traffic hasn’t translated into followers though, and truthfully building relationships is more important to me than window shoppers. Not that I’m not tremendously grateful for all the traffic, because I am. But, I’d like to get to know just who’s popping in to take a peek, and that only happens through interactions.
Anyway, I should have a couple more exciting announcements in the next day or two. Highlander’s Hope is scheduled to be released in print later this month and to celebrate that and the blog chugging along, I’ll be offering The Viscount’s Vow for $.99 for a few days. I don’t have the exact dates yet; still waiting to hear back from my publisher.
I’m also offering a giveaway, a Digital MP3/4 Audio Player, once the blogometer tootles across the magic mark. Stay tuned for all the juicy details, my dears.
Oh, and don’t forget The Romance Reviews anniversary party. 450 authors means 450 prizes plus a $100 gift card!
