I missed last week, but am anxious to catch up with all the authors of Romance Writers Weekly and see what they have to share this week!
Today’s questions are brought to you by the amazing JJ Devine.
I hope you stopped by Katie O’Connor’s blog on your way here!
So, for today’s tantalizing questions . . .
1. You’re moving right alongwith a storyline and suddenly it takes an unexpected twist. Do you go with the flow and follow where the twist leads you or do you conform your story to your way?
I’m a pantser, so my stories always take an unexpected twist, or two, or three.
I usually go with it, unless it’s a wild rabbit trail of useless nonsense I’ll have to cut later, or it has nothing to do with the basic plot.
Or chocolate.
I always have lots to say about chocolate . . .
I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to the luscious melt-in-you-mouth stuff.
See, now you’re distracted too.
2. What time of year is your best time for writing? Winter, summer, fall, spring?
Summer!!!
I don’t teach at all in the summer and the longer days and sunshine boost my energy.
This last summer I finished 3 1/2 stories, plus edited up the wazoo!
3. When looking for a publisher do you chose a traditional press, indie route, or one that does both, ebook and print?
That was important to me.
I have some novellas I’m self-publishing, and one of the things that makes that route so appealing to me is the ability to offer my books in print.
I know ebooks are huge, and my Kindle bears witness to my love of them, but I still prefer a print book in my hand.
Plus, there’s something really special and satisfying about signing your books.
I’m hosting a book signing September 28th for two of my books!
That’s enough about me. Follow me over to LaNora Mangono and we’ll take a peek at her thoughts.
