Here’s your chance fellow romance writers!

The Golden Rose is one of the few writing contests that allows for longer entries so we can really get a taste for your wonderful story. And trust me when I tell you the first round judges are truly incredible people. If you’re looking for a close-knit, supportive writing community, I can’t recommend RCRW enough. (http://rosecityromancewriters.com/)
That being said, the first round judges included non-published, published, PRO, and PAN members of RWA. Many of our authors are multi-published and published in more than one romance genre.
I was especially thrilled when Jess Russell, The Dressmaker’s Duke, won the grand prize in 2012 and received a Golden Rose just like this one. Jess has contracted her novel. She’s my critique partner, and NO, I did not judge historical last year, though I hope I get to this year! In fact, I’d entered Highlander’s Hope in the contest but had to withdraw my entry in August when I was offered a contract by Soul Mate Publishing.
Okay, moving on. Take a look at this elite panel of final round judges! I’ve had personal experience Amy Boggs, Lauren Ruth, and Emily Ohanjanians. AMAZING!
