INTERVIEWING A GHOST TODAY. . . SORT OF | COLLETTE CAMERON
Welcome everyone. Today, I  have Renoir Lassier from the Ghost Lover by Liza O’Connor for an interview. I’ve never interviewed a ghost before. This ought to be interesting.

INTERVIEWING A GHOST TODAY. . . SORT OF 1
Renoir, welcome.
Everyone calls me Lassier, and I thank you for inviting me into your lovely home. Had I known how beautiful you would be, I would have arrived earlier.

Collette: You are all charm. Is this how you earned the name of ‘Ghost Lover’?

Lassier: I am certainly the most active ghost lover, but to be honest, most of my ladies do not realize I am a ghost.

Collette: You do look very three-dimensional.

Lassier: You may touch me if you like.

Collette: Best not.

Lassier: *Grips her hand and presses it to his abs*

Collette: You feel…alive. Your skin is silky and warm. How’s that possible?

Lassier: The alchemist who taught me how to do so didn’t  have the knowledge your scientists do now, but they knew my essence would scatter upon death and I would need to reassemble it if I wished to become corporeal again. Since I hadn’t a clue to the complexities within my body, I focused all my attention on outer self. That is all people touch and see anyway.

Collette: And you are complete… even beneath your kilt?

Lassier: It’s a bath towel, but I will most willingly remove it if you wish to see my greatest source of pride.

Collette: Best not, we have guests.

Lassier: *looks around* I see no one but you.

Collette: That’s because everyone is reading on the internet.

Lassier: The Internet. I have heard of it. Brendon spends a great deal of time playing some war game that requires him and his lady friends to lose clothes each time they get shot. Do your readers remove their clothes as well?

Collette: They’ll have to answer for themselves, but I don’t think so. While we all love historical romances, I believe we generally keep ourselves clothed.

Lassier: *grins* Historical romances. That’s right up my alley. Having lived in the 15th century, I am historical, and I am also the greatest lover who has ever existed.
Collette: And how do you know that?

Lassier: Over a million ladies have declared I am the finest lover they’ve ever known. Don Juan has a paltry 23,000 approbations. But perhaps the best way to convince you is with firsthand knowledge.

Collette: I have lost complete control of this interview.

Lassier: Is that such a bad thing? I rather like women who lose control.

Collette: Well, that’s it for the interview.  Everyone read about the Ghost Lover, while I show Lassier to the door.

Lassier: I hope you mean your bedroom door…

Blurb
Two sexy English brothers. One irresistible ghost. Who would you choose as your lover?
Completely broke and with a criminal record to boot, Senna Smith is one day from eviction from her apartment when Brendon, her promiscuous roommate from London, suggests she go to England, marry him, and manage his fortune. With few other options, she agrees to an open marriage. But she’ll never, ever, have sex with him, knowing if she falls in love with him, he’ll break her heart.

As trustee of Brendon’s family fortune, there is no way Brendon’s older brother, Garrison Durran, is going to let him marry a self-professed American gold-digger. As Senna tries to embrace castle life and English society for Brendon’s sake, Gar discovers Senna is the perfect woman for him–beautiful and intelligent, kind and caring. Now, if she wasn’t already engaged to his brother…

The ancestral ghost of Durran Castle has to intervene if the Durran brothers have any chance of an heir. He can’t leave them to fix matters on their own. They are useless buggers when it comes to love. As counselor to Gar, matchmaker for Brendon, and lover to Senna, a ghost’s work is never done.

Brendon moved to the window and stared out. “I don’t think you realized how bad things became for me when Nan died. I’d lost the onlyperson who cared for me. I had no one left. The million dollars I lost on a roulette wheel wasn’t done just to get rid of the cook. I did it to get your attention. While you didn’t give a shit about me, you’ve always loved money. And it worked. You finally noticed me.”

“And sent you away,” Gar said with remorse.

“Yeah.” Brendon turned and gave him a faint smile. “Not exactly the response I’d hoped for, but it turned out all right. I met Senna and since then life keeps getting easier with each day. Now I find I even like you most of the time.”

“Well, the feeling is mutual. You’re still eccentric, but you’ve a good heart and good intent, and I’m proud you’re my brother.”

Suddenly the door opened and Senna walked in looking at both men with concern. “Are you two having a fight?”

“Not at all.” Brendon smiled. “In fact, Gar told me he’s proud I’m his brother.”
Senna’s eyes filled with appreciation as she grinned at Gar.

Her smile almost broke Gar’s heart. God help him, but Brendon had nailed the truth. He did love Senna, and more than anything, he wanted her to be his wife.
