Historical Romance Retreat Photos!
I’ve finally recovered from the most fantastic week at the Historical Romance Retreat in Spokane, Washington. I thought last year’s retreat was wonderful, but this one was even better.
Twenty-nine featured authors including moi, Eloisa James, Julia Quinn, and Jade Lee and a slew of historical romance readers spent four days enjoying an absolutely fabulous agenda from and old-time movie, to low tea, gaming night, numerous workshops, author chats, and even a ball! If you’re a fan of Historical Romance, you’ll want to tootle to California next September for a grand time!
Okay, enough chatter. Here are a few more photos.
How do you like all my hair pieces? That long one was heavy! I had two Georgian gowns, a Regency gown and redingote, an 1865 ball gown, and a medieval gown. Add the hoops, petticoats, and other fallalls and my suitcase weighted 50 pounds!
If you were to attend HRR next year, what is the one era you must to have attire for?
looks like a fantastic time–love all of the beautiful dresses

It was wonderful!
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I love all of the gowns – everyone looked fantastic! Wish I could have been there.
It was incredible!!
I would have early medieval, mostly because I know how to make those dresses and can do them up quickly.
I don’t know how to sew anything but curtains!
And you’re consistently the best dressed lady there. How do you do that? It looks like a merry old time was had by all.
I have a wonderful seamstress!
Your gowns are beautiful! Looks like a grand time.
