She’s talking guilty pleasures!!
Hello to all you lovely readers and thank you to my host for having me today.  I have recently published my first book “Freedom of Love” and wanted to take the time to introduce myself to the reading community.  I thought I would keep it light and fun today and just give you a quick list of my top ten guilty pleasures. J
Watching the TV show Shameless on Showtime.  It has to be the most dysfunctional family on TV and I love every single character on that show.
Eating Ferrero Rocher until my teeth hurt.  My all-time favorites are the ones I get in Germany.  They have to be the absolute best chocolates I have ever eaten in my entire life and this is coming from the girl who couldn’t eat an entire Snickers bar until I was 16.
Watching YouTube music videos at work.  I have an 80% work to 20% video watching time ratio at work.  Needless to say I have mastered the art of looking busy and not singing too loudly so as to not give myself away.
Eating nothing but a cup of Starbuck’s whipped cream. Need I say more?
Taking naps in the middle of the day.  Sometimes I will sneak to my car on my lunch break and grab a few z’s.
Turning my phone off on the weekends and ignoring the world while I devour books all day.
Writing a chapter or two at work.  When I do this I feel that my artistic side is winning some secret battle against the corporate world.
Spending money that I probably shouldn’t and splurging on a trip to another country.  Most of the time the trips are highly last minute and unplanned. I usually don’t even have that much money when I get there.  How I survive sometimes is a mystery to even me.
I have once gone 2 days without sleep because I stayed up until it was time for me to go to work the next day reading a book that I could not put down.  Needless to say that day at work was the longest and most unproductive of my entire life.
“Hi my name is G.S. Carr and I am addicted to steaming hot bubble baths”. I will usually sit in the tub until the water goes cold, then drain it and add more hot water.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me.  I love meeting new people so if you have your own guilty pleasures I will be more than happy to hear them.  Have a great day!

Soleil held onto her mother’s hand as they made their way up the large front steps behind her father.  She looked around at the home they were about to enter marveling at the beauty of the structure.  The style was very different from homes back in her village in Chartres, France. Her young perception made the large white house seem as if it stretched on for miles.  Each of its three levels had a porch that wrapped around the entire home.  A two seat porch swing hung on the second level near the homes main entrance.  Soleil hoped that she would have the chance to sit and rock in it.  The heat was a little warmer than she was used to and she hoped the swing would create a nice breeze against her skin.
This was her first time in America and she continued to be amazed by everything she saw.  Although she missed her friends back in France she was excited to see what life in America could offer.   Currently, they were in Alabama as a part of her father’s trip throughout the south to secure contracts with cotton farmers.  Her father, Dominique, marquis d’Chartes, ran a successful shipping company in France. He appointed his best man to run the company while he moved his family to America for a few years to try his hand in the textile business. The family moved to New York about a month before, when the textile factory was completed.

AUTHOR Bio and Links:
Raised in Charlotte NC, G.S. Carr has always enjoyed indulging in her imagination. At a very young age she had a thirst for reading and the many possibilities it helped come alive in her mind’s eye.  She consumed books like they were the air she needed to survive. It seemed inevitable that her love of reading would transcend into a desire to create her own stories.  She began writing poetry and stories at the age of 10.  By the time she was thirteen she found her passion in the romance genre and has not looked back ever since.
