Here are my last five lines from Triumph and Treasure.
“I think I fell in love with you before you even clambered to the ground.” He reached and grasped a curl, gently tugging the strands until she lay beside him.
Angelina giggled when his practiced fingers skimmed her ribs. “You didn’t.”
“No, I did. One glimpse into your eyes, and I was lost.”
He pressed his lips to hers, and as always, Angelina melted into his arms.
I’ve been having a ball reading these selections! And so have viewers. Friday is the most popular day on Blue Rose Romance.
The last five lines of Phantom Traces, romance w/a ghostly twist:
They stood wrapped in each other’s embrace for what seemed like eternity, yet when they finally broke apart, she noticed how the clock on the wall ticked on, methodically, at the right speed and in the right direction. Time was moving forward, and she wasn’t about to waste another minute alone or afraid, or without the man she loved in her life. She grabbed his hand and tugged him toward the door. “Take me home, Jack. Make wild, passionate love to me, then let’s start making plans for our future. Together.

Thank you, Collette, for a fabulous Five-Line-Friday!!!
Love this ending. It makes me want to read the book.
Collette, I love your five lines Fridays! The last five lines of The Highlander’s Accidental Marriage:
“That is an excellent compromise, children,” her mother said. “And I would love to visit the wonderful city of Edinburgh.” She added, “Sometime in the future, of course.”
Braeden leaned over and kissed Sarah briefly on the lips. Softly, so no one heard him except her, he said, “Thank God yer mum is as smart as she is pretty.”

Great last line!
Here are the last five lines of my Regency Romance, The Suspect’s Daughter”
Grant gaped, then scowled. “Saved England,” he muttered, shaking his head. “What rot.”
But as he gazed at Jocelyn who smiled at him with a purer love than he’d ever dreamed, he had to admit Cole was half right. Jocelyn had, indeed saved Grant.
The Suspect’s Daughter is available in print and ebook on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Suspects-Daughter-Regency-Romance-Hearts/dp/1519395906/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450449677&sr=8-1&keywords=the+suspects+daughter
Love that title and the lines.
Thank you Collette for this opportunity.
From The Hunter Bride:
I love you, too, more than I can ever show you.”
“You just showed me in the best way possible. You gave me a son.”
Sam sat on the edge of the bed and watched the two most important people in his life, his throat so tight he couldn’t speak.
This was his family, his joy…his life.

Now that’s how to end a book!
Here are the last five lines of The Marriage Bargain, due for release April 27 from Soulmate Books. It is a romance about a marriage in name only that was due to end after a year.
“Uncle Jonah went to see about making me his little girl, and the lawyer said, ‘doesn’t your wife want to adopt her along with you?’ and Uncle Jonah said, ‘I haven’t asked her yet.’ You do, don’t you, Miss Dorie? You do want to make me your little girl, don’t you?” Her eyes were pleading.
Dorie looked deep into Jonah’s eyes and then looked back at Sarah. “Of course I do. I certainly do want to make you my little girl.” She would have said more, told Sarah how much she loved her, but Jonah kissed her right then, and it was some time before she could speak again.

Love these Five Line Fridays and have been following weekly but never posted. Thanks for the opportunity Collette. This is from An Independent Miss, my first Regency in celebration of my second Regency, Summerton, due for release next week.
“I suggest you let the volumes be published under that lady’s name, and give yourselves the freedom to be who you are without interruption.”
“Or any more scandals!” Lady Westhaven applauded.
“Or any more scandals.” Felicity looked up into her husband’s eyes.
“I don’t know,” he teased. “If not for scandals who knows where we would be?”
“In each other’s hearts,” Felicity promised. “We were always meant to be in each other’s heart.”

Simply lovely, Becca.
I love Five-Line-Friday! It’s always fun and interesting. Thanks Collette! My excerpt is from The One (The Only One) #1 my first in this series.
In some ways David could understand the hatred. It must look to Miles as if David had taken his place, not only as his ex-wife’s lover, but also as a potential father to his children. He would have to speak to Adelia about hiring a bodyguard and beefing up the security at the house. As far as Karolin was concerned he would see what he could find on the Bremens’ elusive past. There had to be something relevant that would be indicative of her strange behavior. He drove the Range Rover down the driveway, contemplating the possibilities as Green Way Farms receded in the distance.

Wonderful, Fiola!
Collette, thank you for your continual support of your fellow writers. Here is the ending to my current release, Chasing the Painted Skies:
The horn’s honk brought her back to reality. Stopping the swing, she watched the sleek blue and white motorboat puttering up to the dock. Her husband waved to her, his smile big and happy. She waved back. Her husband was home.

Sigh! I do love happy endings and there are some lovely ones posted here !! Here are the last lines of A PERFECTLY UNREGIMENTED CHRISTMAS from Christmas Revels II
“A toast.” The Earl of Leistonbury lifted his glass, his arm around his wife. “To the bride and groom, may all of your Christmases be as magical as this one.”
“We must gather like this every Christmas,” Countess Leistonbury suggested.
“God help us, everyone.” Winterbourne downed one glass of champagne and reached for another.
The room erupted into a merry cacophony of friends and family, a music designed to put ghosts and bad memories to rest.
“Shall we have such a Christmas every year, husband?” Belle wrapped her arms around Ben and tilted her face up for his kiss.
“I hope so, my love.” He kissed her and rested his forehead on hers with a sigh. “I certainly hope so.”
And they did.

LOL!
Sigh. Perfect.
Here are the last lines from my current Rogues and Rakehells Mystery, Married By Christmas.
An hour later, with Amelia’s hand in his, forgetting protocol, they stood at the top stair of the ballroom.
“Your Graces, m’ lords, and ladies, I present Nash, Marquis of Renfield and Amelia, Marchioness of Renfield,” Fielding bellowed out.
As he guided her down the steps, he noticed a gentleman, uncomfortable it appeared, as he kept tugging at his collar, bow to them. When the young man straightened, Nash recognized him.
Justin, Earl of Rosewood, his former groom.
Nash could feel his mouth drop open and eyes widen when Justin and The Duke of Fenwick stepped up.

Collette, Love this feature here is mine from Unveiling Love:
He hadn’t lost everything. They hadn’t lost everything. “Things will be well. We will be fine. Oh, and I love you.”
She slipped away a little more. The distance could be a mile. A mile in the bed where he’d held her, listened to her raspy giggle against his chest, where they locked fingers, lips, and soul ties, where they’d made this child.
Where they’d made this child lost.
Where he’d held her every night, except this last.

Oh my gosh! That’s so powerful.
Thank you Collette! The last five lines are from Stolen Kisses from the Viscount- part of the Once Upon a True Love’s Kiss box set. http://amzn.to/1TUEOWk
Patrick cupped her face and wiped away the tears. “No, thank you. You saved me from a lifetime of sorrow and bitterness.” He brushed a soft kiss across her smiling lips. “My life is complete with you by my side. I love you more than I ever thought possible.”
“Oh, Patrick, you are my all, my one true love.” Aveline reached up and sealed her declaration with a true love’s kiss.
Ah, I love it, Alanna!

“How about we turn the music on, and we strip each other?”
Before he pressed his lips to hers, Marci pulled his beard from his face. “I like how you and Mr. Johnson think,” she said, snuggling against him.
“Welcome home, Marci. Merry Christmas, my love.”
And it was.
Thanks, Collette! Here are the last five lines of my short story, The Snow Bird, from Sizzle In The Snow: A Soul Mate Christmas Collection.
Her son’s words affected everyone; simple yet profound.
Tony hugged Lauren tighter and she responded eagerly, feeling at peace.
The fire crackled, shooting flames of orange up the chimney, as the four of them huddled together.
The light of the fire shone in each of their eyes, reflecting off the shiny porcelain of the broken bird . . .
Now repaired.

It sounds so Christmassy!
Thank you so much for the opportunity. I had to really cut and past to get something close to the last five lines of Three Weeks to Wed. The problem is that there is a letter in the middle of it. But here goes.
Matt took out his quizzing glass and scrutinized the large statute made entirely of jade, gold, and other precious stones. It appeared to be a woman, mostly naked, with several arms and eyes.
His butler handed him a card. “This accompanied the piece. There is also an interesting vase which I have placed in your bedchamber, not wanting any of the children to view it.”
“I’ll murder them,” he growled.
Grace twitched the missive from him and a moment later laughed. “Oh dear. I suppose now is not the time to tell you I think I am increasing.”

Love Five Line Friday!
Her strong husband cooed to their babe as Gillian crawled up next to her. Rogan wiped a tear from her cheek. Her heart careened as she beheld those she loves and who loved her.
‘Twas her family, all she’d sought, and she’d gained so much more from the love of her Highlander.

Thanks for the opportunity Collette. Here are the last 5 lines of my novella Under the Mistletoe within the Bluestocking Belles box set Mistletoe, Marriage, & Mayhem:
Margaret looked up at Freddy. Her husband gave her a mischievous wink. She did not know what was in store for them in the future, though she knew they would face it together. And she knew another thing for certain. Freddy could kiss her under the mistletoe any time he wished.

Thanks, Collette! It was so fun looking back through my novels and remembering how each of them ended. I’m sharing the ending of Wild Rose, the first of my Wildflowers of Scotland novels.
Rose wished that she could think of something wise to say. Something quotable, something that would put the finishing touch on their entire experience. But she couldn’t think of a thing. Surprisingly, all that came to her mind was the thought to pray. And so, right there in the front entry of the Bluebell, with this Logan gent and whoever else happened to be around looking on, she did. “Thank you, Lord, for wallowing through the worst days of my life with me and bringing Ian MacCraig, the best friend and bonniest man alive, into my life.”
And they all said, “Amen” – except for Ian’s sister, whose lips didn’t move one iota.

Thank you, Collette!
I’m late, but this way I get to enjoy everyone else’s before I put mine in! Thank you, Collette.
This is from The Raven’s Lady, a short story in my new free-for collection, Hand-Turned Tales.
So it was that Joselyn Bellingham and Felix Maddox were wed as soon as the banns could be called. If there were some who questioned the sudden change in viscounts, and wondered at the reappearance of one who had been thought dead these six years, the older servants and villagers soon put them right. If some said the bride should not have lived in the groom’s house that last fortnight, Viscountess Maddox’s supporters told them to hush their mouths. And if some raised their eyebrows when the bride was escorted down the aisle by a large raven, Viscount Maddox didn’t care a jot. After all, he said, the raven had both found his bride and saved his bride, and that was all there was to that.
