I’m sharing a tidbit from my award-winning Regency Romani romance,The Viscount’s Vow, Castle Brides series, Book 1.
On sale for $0.99 May 17-24th.
In this scene, Ian and Vangie are at their wedding reception, a wedding neither wanted.
“What’s my name, wife?”
“Please, don’t call me that. I too have a name, as you well know.”
Drawing her closer, her breasts pressing against the breadth of his chest and cresting the edge of her bodice, he murmured, “Indeed, but Evangeline sounds . . . angelic, and we both know you’re no such thing.”
“Pardon?” She stiffened, trying to shove away from him. “I don’t under—”
His head descended again. “Say it, or I’ll trace your ear with my tongue.”
Now your turn!
Snippet from There Your Heart Will Be Also… on sale for only 99 cents!
“Aye, I suppose so.” Exhaling, Sarra continued, “I had hoped for a reprieve from the suitors, but I guess it is not to be. The last one was extremely trying. Sir Henry, please inform Charism to be prepared to take action. This one looks to have more spirit than the others.”

A bit more spirit…great!
LOL! Fun tidbit, Felicia. 🙂
Hmm, Collette, sounds like Ian and Vangie have a major misunderstanding going on! :~) (I like her name a lot.)
Here’s a snippet from Lady of the Flames, e-book only 99 cents.
Lord Fen’s eyes were drawn upward; the hobgoblin on the chandelier was trying to distract him again. He’d postured throughout the conversation with Slough and Andromeda, faultlessly mimicking the earl. Time was when Fen and Andromeda would have laughed together at the little fellow’s antics, but today she’d ignored them. Why had she decided to wed Slough, who definitely didn’t have the Sight? Why not seek out someone who would accept her fairy heritage?

This made me grin!
Coming Soon! A Pot of Glimmer, #3 in my 5-Star Glimmer Series, featuring an American teen, an Irish prince, and Ireland’s mischievous fairies. Adventure and Romance for Young Adults of All Ages. Enjoy an excerpt!
Awley stared into the flames and contemplated Hazel. She wasn’t much to look at, but she had a good heart, and that smile of hers would make the devil wag his tail. He sighed at the unfairness of it all. Female leprechauns were a rare thing, and as Quinn had said, they must follow the rules.
Rules that doomed male leprechauns to live alone forever.

Pat, this is fascinating!!
Oh, the threats Ian makes–delicious 🙂 Here’s a glimpse of The Heart of the Phoenix, on sale now. Sir Stephen has just sent Lady Evelynn away rather rudely, accusing her of being a child. He’s watching her leave the roof of the castle, where he’s gone to be alone:
Little Evie, the curious sprite of seven years past had blossomed into Lady Evelynn of Chauvere, a chestnut-haired beauty whose blue eyes mirrored the Eastern seas. No, she was not a child. But it did not—could not—matter to him. Only word of his father’s impending death had drawn him back to England to say farewell. Stephen knew where his path led, and no lady cared to make a home in hell.

Barb, I must know more!
Hey Collette,
Love this Five-Line Friday feature. I found out Meet the Earl at Midnight is a finalist in the Golden Quill contest, so I’ll share a snippet from Edward and Lydia’s first meet:
Lydia lowered her lashes, aware of how men’s minds worked. She needed to regroup and gather her wits, but the Earl must have sensed her wariness, or so she guessed when he extended a gloved hand.
“Please. This need not be unpleasant.” His voice lulled her. “I promise I won’t bite.”
“Meaning sometimes you do,” she snipped.
A muffle of low, masculine laughter floated from his collar. “Only on a full moon.”

That’s so exciting, Gina!
Hi Collette, Here’s a snippet from Morgan O’Neill’s The Thornless Rose, an Elizabethan Time Travel Novel. Our time traveling hero and heroine have just been married in Whitehall Palace, the wedding arranged by Queen Elizabeth I. But will it be a marriage in name only? Only time will tell…
Anne grabbed Jonathan’s doublet, pulled him close, and kissed him—hard.
His lips parted slightly, his kiss firm, warm, soft, beguiling. She closed her eyes, her body melting.
Elizabeth cried out, “The bold miss, wonderful! Look at them!”
They parted, their gazes locked, while around them erupted exuberant applause and shouts of approval.
“Anne,” he whispered, and his mouth found hers again. His muscles flexed as he held her, his power unmistakable, a hint of possibilities, of what might come.

Thank you, Collette!
Wonderful, Deborah! Even the queen approves.
Hi Collette. So many good books here. I am placing a snippet of Unmasked Heart, A Regency about a very different heroine.
“…Gaia can be reasoned with without saying anything more.”
The warning sent a chill down Gaia’s spine, but she had to know. “Tell me why I owe my flesh and blood.”
Father took her hand and pulled it to his pale face. “Do you think it’s possible that fair Telfair blood could produce this?”
It is on pre-order, releasing June 15. http://www.amazon.com/Unmasked-Heart-Challenge-Soul-Book-ebook/dp/B00WDR6C7S/
Thank yo so much, Collette!
Vanessa, this is wonderful!! I’m dying of curiosity now.
Such tempting bits! Thanks Collette. Congrats, Gina! This is from LADY FAITH TAKES A LEAP which is released on June 1st.
“And you, Lady Faith?” He cocked a dark eyebrow. “Will you save a dance for me? We might dance a waltz on the terrace, under the moon.”
“And we might not.”
Vaughn might have asked her to dance naked, such a look he gave her. Her body responded in an alarming fashion. She had a strong urge to laugh and agree.

Love that name, Vaughn.
Lovely snippets, Collette and all. So tempting! This is from my WIP, which I’ve just loaded for prerelease. A Baron for Becky. Coming soon.
Hugh laughed, a short cynical snort of non-amusement. “So what have you got? A gypsy remedy? I’ve tried them all. It won’t be prayer and fasting, not from you. I know. You’ve a pregnant lover to off load.” He laughed again at his own joke, but the look on Aldridge’s face stopped the laugh in its tracks.
“No.” Flat and uncompromising no. He’d not give his name to any woman who’d whore herself to the likes of Aldridge. “No, Aldridge. No. I’ll not do it.”
Now that is intriguing.
