Angelina should have told the intrusive fussock she was married to an Arabian sheik and shared a harem with five and ten other wives . . . and three dozen concubines. Oh, and when Jazib had guests, Angelina danced half-naked, wearing nothing but a bedlah for their entertainment.
It would have been worth the scandal to see the look on Mrs. Pettigrove’s face. Perhaps it would have silenced her for a blessed moment or two as well.
Thank God they hadn’t share a cabin, or Angelina would have been hard pressed not to shove the woman overboard.
