Dear Readers,
My heroine would never wear her hair like this! |
This weekly feature continues to be a favorite with you! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop in and peruse what my romance author friends are posting. I’m betting you, too, are finding some books to add to your bookshelves!
And be sure to share.
As always, the rules are simple:
· Five lines of your current work in progress, new release, soon-to-be-released…whatever. (Do keep it as close to five sentences as you can.)
· You are welcome to post your social media and buy links too.
· PG please. (I don’t have a warning on my blog about content, so it has to be appropriate for all viewers. I will delete comments that aren’t appropriate or offensive to some audiences. Sorry.)
So, I imagine you’re all heartily sick of excerpts from The Earl’s Enticement, so today, I’m giving you a taste from Triumph and Treasure, the first book in The Highland Heather Romancing a Scot’s Series. You might recognize Flynn from The Viscount’s Vow and The Earl’s Enticement.
In this scene, Angelina has been chased up a tree by a bull. Flynn comes upon her perched atop a branch.

“Are you in need of assistance?” a man, his voice a deep baritone, asked.
Angelina started and swung her head to gawk at the much too attractive gentleman squinting up at her atop a light dun gelding. Bother. Why couldn’t a groom or a tenant have found her?
“I’d think that was obvious. That foul-tempered brute,” she pointed to the bull, now affecting a completely docile demeanor as he rubbed his head against a contented cow, “chased me up here.”
Your turn. Have fun.
I can’t wait to see your snippets this week.
