Let’s mix things up a bit this week, shall we? Go to page 5 or 55 of whatever novel or WIP you want to share and then find line five. Post the next five lines.
If they aren’t PG content, then try to find something on the page that is.
The Rules:
Five lines of your current work in progress, new release, soon-to-be-released…whatever. (Do keep it as close to five sentences as you can.)
· You are welcome to post buy links too.
· PG please. (I don’t have a warning on my blog about content, so it has to be appropriate for all viewers. I will delete comments that aren’t appropriate or offensive to some audiences. Sorry.)
Here’s my contribution for the week. In this scene, Flynn, Earl of Bretheridge has had his steward inventory all his assets. Flynn’s father lost a gambling wager that has ruined the earldom.
Fleming shook his head, sliding his spectacles to the bridge of his nose.
“No, my lord, nothing. I’ve listed the whole of it here at Lambridge,” he pointed a spindly finger at the open ledger, “and the other properties as well, right down to the salt and pepper shakers.”
He waved at the pile of leather books piled on the desk. “Unless there’s a buried treasure somewhere we don’t know about, that’s everything.”
Now, lets see what you come up with.
