Adaira has arrived at Roark’s estate, Cadbury Park. She’s gazing at his manicured gardens. Let’s see what she thinks of him, shall we?
Her gaze returned to the immaculate grounds.
Heaven forbid there be a weed or spent flower amongst the groomed beds. No doubt the earl required the deer and squirrels, even the birds and bees, to ask permission before they were allowed access to the charming gardens.
She could almost hear his condescending voice as he addressed the creatures.
“Please do take care not to trod on the flowers or leave any droppings.”
