He closed the door before crossing to her in several elongated strides. Sweeping her into his arms, he nuzzled her neck. She adored how she fit beneath his chin. At five feet eight inches, she stood taller than most woman of her acquaintance. Yet within Charles’s embrace, she felt dainty and feminine.
