About this ebook

He intended to ruin her…

…instead, he fell in love.

Ian’s a vengeful lord…

Notorious for his stern demeanor and inflexible honor, he journeys to London for one purpose—the permanent and irreversible downfall of the siren who caused his brother’s death.

Instead of an immoral seductress, he discovers a soft-spoken, raven-haired beauty. Against all reason, he finds himself irresistibly drawn to the last woman in England he could ever love.

Evangeline’s a spirited gypsy lady…

She endures the bon ton’s disdain and numerous indecent propositions with grace and poise. But when a dastardly lord plots her ruination, she’s finished with propriety and politeness.

To make matters worse, he becomes caught in his own snare, forcing them into a marriage neither wants…or do they?

A love that transcends betrayal…

When their lives are suddenly in danger, Ian and Vangie must trust each other and their love.

But can she forgive Him?

Will his regrets keep them from finding the happiness they both crave?

London 1814 "Vengence isn't sweet." Evangeline Caruthers. "After seeking her the better part of an hour, he finally found the chit. His younger brother was dead because of her." Ian was on a mission to avenge the woman responsible for his brother's death. But all is not as it seems and in typical Collette Cameron fashion, she weaves an intriguing story that will not let you go until the end! Absolutely love it!!

Ian and Vangie didn’t get off to the best start, and for a while, it didn’t get any better. What began as a quest for vengeance at Vangie for his brother’s death became a romantic adventure. The story takes us from the ballrooms in London to Ian’s estate in Northumberland, and to the nearby camp of the Travelers, Vangie’s Gypsy family. The story is full of drama and action, betrayal, intrigue, and danger. Before Ian and Vangie can move past the uncertainty in their relationship and begin to build a new life, they have to find who is trying to kill them, and why. There is a variety of villains that includes Lord and Lady Caruthers, Vangie’s uncaring aunt and uncle, and Ian’s demented greedy stepmother. Can they find their foes and defeat them? Do they really have a chance at happily ever after? Ian is an honorable man, but just a bit too easily by his spoiled sister and his stepmother. He learns from his mistakes. Vangie has had a rough time, but has a wonderful outlook on life and is caring and forgiving. Of the secondary characters, I like Jasper and Tanny. Ian’s butler and housekeeper are loyal and devoted to him and to Vangie. Puri Daj is a gem. When I first read this story, I liked it. I like the new one even better. The epilogue is a wonderful way to end the story. I happily recommend this one.

The Viscount’s Vow is one of those page-turning romances that you can’t put down. This is book one in Cameron’s Castle Bride’s series. I absolutely loved the heroine in this story. Evangeline Caruthers is such a gentle loving soul. I grow weary of “independent sassy heroines” who are actually just hard hearted. The hero Ian Warrick is a swoon worthy rogue filled with angst and the desire for revenge after his brother and father died. His desire to see justice done leads him to commit a foolish act that forever seals his own fate. Not everything is as it appears on the surface of Ian’s life and he has allowed himself to be lead down a road of fury and vengeance by an unknown enemy. Cameron does a masterful job of giving her characters depth and feeling. I am looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.
