This week’s questions come from Carolyn Spear. Let’s see what we have, shall we?
1. If someone could observe you writing without you knowing they were there, what strange practices might they catch you doing?
What makes you think I have any strange practices while I write?
Okay, maybe I have a few: talking to myself, making gestures, wiggling my toes and twisting my mouth as I concentrate, tapping my fingers on the keyboard as if the words will magically flow from my fingertips.
And naturally, I dress with extreme care, making sure I’ve donned an attractive ensemble, coiffed my hair, and applied a tasteful amount of cosmetics. *Snort.*
2. Other than a creative outlet, how does writing benefit you?
Ayva |
Well, I’ve already shared I use it as a venting tool. Not is a psychotic sort of way, of course. But it’s lots of fun to write people into the story who’ve been, shall we say, less than kind.
It also gives me a chance to express my humor, quirky though it is, and I really enjoy the isolation because I write best when alone. I actually look forward to that time.
Hmm, I guess I should confess I’m never really alone because Ayva’s either in my lap (farting half the time) or sleeping on the overstuffed chair in my writing room.
The Three Muses |
3. How do you feed your muse?
Oh, I’m supposed to say something serious?
I don’t really feed my muse. She kinda just hangs out and whispers ideas to me.
Onward to Meggan Connors to see what witty answers she has for us this week.
