I’m skipping this week’s Romance Writers’ Weekly blog hop. Yes, I’m bummed.
My new blog is acting up a bit, and I want to get the bugs worked out.
Plus, I’ve been substituting way more than I want to since November, and I’ve fallen behind on my writing. But, how could I say no to the teacher who asked me to cover her classroom at least once a week because her father was dying, and toward the end, she needed me for several days and then weeks.
Or, how could I say no to the young teacher whose wife was expecting their second child when he asked me to sub for him for two weeks? It wasn’t their fault baby decided to make an early appearance so my carefully scheduled writing time was shot to Hades and back.
Sometimes life gets in the way of our best laid plans.
I’ll be back next week, with bells on, as my great-grandmother used to say.
By-the-way, I expect to have the blog subscribe and Network Blogs features up sometime this week.
